On the crash, the Kontakt GUI loaded (this time) but was stopped at the unavailable folder location. (The update didn't solve the crashes - see below.) (On the update I got the reg tool error, which I resolved the usual way. Actually I came here because I was trying to update Kontakt 7 because it began crashing so that it seemed I could no longer use it in FL Studio. They must realize how much time is spent on this "fix" when there are a dozen updates each month.Ĭlick to expand. This is true - thank you for reminding me. Been on MANY support tickets and can't seem to stress that this is not fixed, no matter that handy dandy Reg tool. It just gets to the end of the install and acts like it worked, then a popup appears saying it failed and please view their handy help files. The NI support article related to this Reg Tool temporary fix says that the issue relates to installations being interrupted - but I'm not seeing any interruption take place. I don't think it's every NI user, but I'd be curious to know if it has to do with my ISP, or some other issue which is invisible to me. And after 4 years I am becoming convinced that their tech people have been asked not to devote much to correcting it. The thing is, not every item even shows up in the Reg Tool to delete. As if this should be done hundreds of times per year and it's a fixed issue. The thing is, support is always happy to send me to the same link which says to use the Reg Tool to remove the old version and then install it again. I've been having a similar thing happen on dozens of Native Instruments instruments - now it's happening with Kontakt 7's latest update. I have the latest Native Access version as well.
